I. How it changes

    Somebody burns

    A holder destroys part of the supply. There is no fee. The only thing you approve is the burn.

  2. ii

    Anywhere at all

    Phantom, a script, somebody else's site. We read the mint's supply, so we cannot tell where it came from and do not try.

  3. iii

    The count crosses

    Every 100,000 destroyed moves it one place down the list. Burn more and it skips ahead.

  4. iv

    It takes the name

    Its name, ticker and face are rewritten on-chain to the next dead coin. Nobody votes. Nobody picks. Then it waits for the next burn.

The chain updates within a couple of minutes of a burn. Wallets and terminals (Phantom, Axiom, GMGN, Dexscreener) cache token metadata and will keep showing the old one for a while. That lag is theirs, not ours.
